At first it seems like a puzzle with pieces missing, and the result is a bold, surreal mindfuck of a movie. Im not sure whether I love it or hate it, but I admire its audacity.

Two short films by young British directors also stand out: Hibernation, by John Williams, which mixes live action and animation to powerful effect; and The Man Who Met Himself, by Ben Crowe, a stylish and cerebral Super 8 mystery. Both promise much for the future.
