We made this video for my (Matt) portfolio for the Narrative (Production) Track at CSULB. Its meant to be the ending of a long journey for our hero, Riko. Riko's brother was brutally murdered when he was a child so he has vowed revenge on Patrick, the leader of the gang who had Riko's brother slain. Set in a modern time we wanted to push the western-ness of the story by using the color effects and shots. However, we wanted to make sure that it was set in modern day by using bikes instead of horses and seeing suburban housing. Hope you like it!!

Detective Story Green screen 2009
A short film experiment shot entirely on Green Screen. The walls and furniture were all placed in the scene using After Effects CS4 and photoshop CS4. I started by editing together all of the walls, ceilings and floors. I then Added furniture, and finally the green screen elements.

Mulloy produced the Cowboys series in 1991 for Animate Projects with funding from Channel Four and the Arts Council. The series consists of six, three minute long films on 35 mm; Slim Pickin's, That's Nothin', Murder!, High Noon, The Conformist and Outrage.[4] The shorts brought Mulloy to the attention of audiences in the UK and internationally.[5]
Mulloy exploits many of the clichés of the Western genre, minimalist Saguaro cactus dotted wilderness, stock characters like the Stetson wearing semi-nomadic wanderer, horses, lynchings and so forth drawn using brush and black ink in an intentionally primitive, silhouetted style to portray male violence, greed and rivalry using absurd black comedy.

Schwarzfahrer (with English Subtitles)
Παρακολουθήστε αυτή την ταινία μικρού μήκους (12′) που γυρίστηκε το 1994 από τον Γερμανό σκηνοθέτη Pepe Danquart, με τον τίτλο «Schwarzfahrer» (Ο μαύρος επιβάτης).
Η ιστορία της ταινίας με λίγα λόγια είναι η εξής: Ένας μαύρος ανεβαίνει στο λεωφορείο και κάθεται δίπλα σε μια ηλικιωμένη κυρία. Καθ’ όλη την διάρκεια της διαδρομής, η ηλικιωμένη που δυσανασχετεί, μουρμουρίζει για να την ακούει ο μαύρος συνεπιβάτης της (χωρίς καν να τον κοιτάζει) εκφράζοντας τον ρατσισμό που έχει μέσα της. Ο μαύρος δείχνει να αδιαφορεί για τα όσα ακούει, ενώ οι άλλοι συνεπιβάτες δείχνουν να αδιαφορούν, ή να δυσανασχετούν με τον ρατσιστικό μονόλογο της ηλικιωμένης κυρίας.
Σε κάποια από τις επόμενες στάσεις μπαίνει στο λεωφορείο ένας ελεγκτής και ζητά τα εισιτήρια των επιβατών. Ο μαύρος επιβάτης βγάζει το εισιτήριό του και το κρατά στα χέρια του. Το ίδιο και η ηλικιωμένη κυρία.
Τότε ξαφνικά, ο μαύρος επιβάτης αρπάζει το εισιτήριο της ηλικιωμένης και το…τρώει!
Όταν ο ελεγκτής της ζητά το εισιτήριό της, εκείνη του λέει αμήχανη, ότι το…έφαγε ο μαύρος (που εν τω μεταξύ χαμογελά με ικανοποίηση για την εκδίκηση που πήρε, όπως και οι γύρω επιβάτες που δεν τον «προδίδουν»). Ο ελεγκτής φυσικά δεν την πιστεύει και την κατεβάζει από το λεωφορείο για τα περαιτέρω.

In this animated film, a boy discovers a magic potion that allows him to explore the universe within himself. A sip unleashes a violent reaction, revealing a diverse cast of characters twisting and stretching their way out of one another forming a monumental pile. The boy drinks for a second time which violently transforms him again, creating a torrent even more twisted than the first, but this time in reverse order.
